St James is in the oldest part of the village of Badsey and stands in a large well kept churchyard full of interest. The church is built of mellow Cotswold stone and local blue lias with a magnificent 15thC tower. The churchyard is full of flowers and trees.
The church building evidences a mixture of styles from Norman to Victorian with some notable monuments and beautiful stained glass windows. It is on “The Preedy Trail”.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL The church can be found in the centre of Badsey 3 miles to the east of Evesham, 5 miles to the west of Broadway. Turn off the A46 Evesham Bypass on to the B4035 signposted Chipping Campden. On entering the village take second right to arrive on High Street in the village centre.
